Squid-tastic Glove/Mittens

I’ve finally finished with these glove/mittens (or “glittens,” if you will) just in time for summer. This pattern is a creation of my own, inspired by a great mitten pattern and a great glove pattern. Sadly, they didn’t come out as well as I had hoped. Look closely in the photo – you’ll notice that the thumb placement is totally different. This is because I approached each glove differently. The method I used to make the right glove is  – frankly – a mystery thanks to my lack of notes; however, if the left glove (thumb curved more toward palm) strikes your fancy, send me a message and I’ll pass along the pattern.

Don’t they look like squid? Imperfections aside, I love them.

PS – For you yarn lovers out there, these are knit with Berroco’s Inca Gold (1 skein each).
