Even Princesses Get Cold

After a hectic two weeks at work, I finally had a chance to do some substantial knitting again. I just finished an adorable winter hat for my niece; it’s got cute lace detail AND a crown. The pattern is from Fairy Tale Knits by Alison Stewart-Guinee and is available for free online [note that the paragraphs are a bit scrambled in places].

Here are some photos I took before blocking (it’s fulled with paper to establish the shape; a bit lumpy in spots):

I would have loved one of these as a kid..and I hope she loves it, too!
